Kuwaitis are usually seen wearing traditional clothing such as the white dish dasha and head scarf for men, and the black abaya and head covering for women. You will also see a large number of Muslim women dressed in Western styles while wearing a head scarf.
Fortunately, there are no restrictions on what expats can wear. However, out of consideration for the local culture, most expat women choose to dress more conservatively here than at home. If you are not sure how to dress, we suggest that you initially wear clothing that covers your elbows and knees. Observe others and then decide what makes you feel most comfortable.
