Yes, you can bring your pet! While there are no quarantine requirements for animals entering the country, you do need to obtain an Import Permit from Kuwait ‘s Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) before your animal will be permitted into the country.

We strongly recommend contacting one of the Veterinary Clinics listed below at least one month before you plan to travel. They can help obtain the Import Permit and answer any questions you may have about importing your pet.

The cheapest way to transport your pet is to either bring it with you on board or to check it in as excess luggage on your flight. Contact your airlines to inquire about their specific flight requirements and fees for transporting pets.

There are also pet shipping agents in Kuwait. Pet Passage – contact name Karen – +965 995 94898, Inchcape Shipping (+965 243 4752 ext 203) and Al Ghanim Freight, (+965 474 5533) have many years experience and should be able to process all paperwork and transport your pet safely to Kuwait . The popular animal welfare charity K’SPATH also offer this service, e mail Hanna@kspath.org for more details.
